Cardross Estate is ideally situated for visiting Central Scotland and The Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, and also allows day excursions to the east and west coasts of Scotland and north to the Scottish Highlands. The city of Stirling with its excellent castle and other historic monuments is only 20 minutes by car and Edinburgh and Glasgow are about an hour.
A car is essential for visiting the area, and may be hired in Stirling, Edinburgh or Glasgow which also have mainline rail services and Edinburgh and Glasgow have international airports.
From Stirling and the East
Leave the M9 motorway at Junction 10.
Turn on to the A84 towards Doune and Callander.
Approx. 6 miles turn left on to the B8075 signposted
Gargunnock.
Approx. 3 miles turn right at T-junction on to A811 signposted Erskine Bridge.
Continue to Arnprior.
Turn right on to the B8043 towards Port of Menteith.
After 3 miles cross a hump backed bridge over the River Forth.
After 150 yards turn right at the gate lodge.
Follow driveway to Cardross House bearing right at fork.

From Glasgow Airport and the West
Take the M8 and M898.
Cross the River Clyde on the Erskine Bridge.
Turn left on to the A82 signposted Dumbarton, Balloch, Loch Lomond.
Continue to roundabout at end of dual carriageway.
Turn right on to the A811 passing Drymen and on through Buchlyvie.
Approx. 2 miles from Buchlyvie is Arnprior.
Turn left on to the B8043 towards Port of Menteith.
After 3 miles cross a hump backed bridge over the River Forth.
After 150 yards turn right at the old gatehouse.
Follow driveway to Cardross House bearing right at fork.
